Dr. Narinder Mahal
Dr. Mahal received his DDS from Columbia University in 2012, achieving Excellence in Restorative Dentistry. His area of concentration in dental school was oral surgery, and he spent numerous hours learning in oral surgical clinics. Prior, he had studied at Government Dental College in Amritsar, Punjab, India. To remain current with the latest techniques and technology, he regularly advances his knowledge through continuing education courses. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and the International Dental Implant Association.
In 2015, Dr. Mahal moved to Sacramento after serving as a dentist in Miami and Boston. His goal as a dentist is to take care of his patients with the best available and up-to-date knowledge. He wants to reduce dental pain and discomfort and help patients achieve great smiles that they are proud of. Dr. Mahal believes a great smile is the best dental referral. Land Park Dental is very compassionate and caring toward our patients’ needs; Dr. Mahal and our team do everything we can to keep patients comfortable and happy in the dental chair.
Dr. Mahal is married to Raman, a lawyer by profession, and they have two handsome sons, Ekam Singh Mahal and Zoravar Singh Mahal. Dr. Mahal enjoys hiking, water sports, and soccer. He has tried sitting in front of the TV and playing Xbox, but finds that he cannot stay indoors. If talking were a hobby, it would be his favorite.
Dr. Stephanie Cheng
Dr. Stephanie Cheng grew up in San Jose and received her bachelor’s degree from UCLA. She then moved back to the Bay Area to receive her dental degree from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Known for her gentle and conservative approach, Dr. Cheng is dedicated to providing the best care possible for her patients. She is committed to working together with them to tailor a plan specific to their needs and desires, helping them achieve the smile of their dreams. Outside of the office, Dr. Cheng loves to travel, take lagree classes, watch cooking competition shows, and ice skate (although she is a novice!). She also enjoys trying new restaurants, so please share any and all recommendations with her!
Angela
Practice Manager
Angela has over 23 years' experience in the dental field. She started as a receptionist and over the years earned her place in management. She has a wide knowledge of dental insurance and practice management. She truly enjoys working at Land Park Dental and takes pride in providing exceptional patient care and a positive work environment for our employees. On her off days she enjoys spending time with her sisters, niece and nephew, granddaughter and three adult children. She likes to travel, paint and host dinner parties.
Melissa
Lead Dental Assistant
Melissa grew up in a small suburb of Boston, Massachusetts. She moved to Sacramento and started her dental career in 2018. Melissa did her externship with Land Park dental and we hired her permanently with our office. Her favorite thing about working in dental is getting to know patients and making sure they are taken care of. Melissa also likes the fact that everyday brings something new and different. Outside of work you can find Melissa spending time with friends and her significant other. Melissa enjoys staying active and spending time with her dog Tank and her cat Cleo. She also enjoys staying at home and watching a good Netflix show. We love having Melissa be apart of our dental family!
Violetta
Dental Assistant
Violetta was born in Russia and moved to Sacramento when she was 2 years old. She has always had an interest in beautiful smiles, “I love to help people achieve happiness and confidence in their smiles and oral hygiene.” Violetta makes sure people come in feeling comfort and leave with confidence. She is a huge adrenaline junkie. In her free time, she plays tennis and ping pong. Winter is her favorite season of the year where you will catch her snow boarding and off-roading. Violetta is looking forward to continuing her education in Dentistry.
Emilse
Treatment Coordinator
Emilse has been in the healthcare field for over 10 years. She always knew her passion was to work in the dental field. Emilse joined LPD in December of 2022. Her fluency in English and Spanish has been a great asset to the team. Emilse is committed to providing the best patient experience. She believes the best reward is seeing patients smile. Emilse has been married for 10 years to her high school sweetheart and has two wonderful kids Emiliano who is 10 and Mateo who is 2. Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her family. She enjoys cooking, crafting, and watching scary movies.
